I love meeting and working with couples to create a cake that will compliment your styling and that you and your guests will enjoy devouring.

 

Important Information

I decorate all of my cakes using a ganache icing. Ganache is a sturdier medium in comparison to buttercream and sets firm at room temperature, allowing a more stable foundation, in particular for tiered cakes. I can achieve most design techniques using ganache, eg semi naked, smooth exterior, textured, stencilling, palette knife detailing etc

Prices are a guide, and an enquiry can be placed to get a more accurate idea of final cost. Starting prices are based on finger portions, and cake sizes/number of tiers can be adjusted according to your preferred style.

Portioning will vary slightly between bakers so please use this as a guide. Please check with individual venues/caterers regarding the way in which they portion/present the cake.

I can adjust heights/diameters according to your preferred style. Some couples prefer a tall, slim design whereas others prefer a flatter/wider shaped cake. I can offer sizing suggestions based on your number of guests. Generally my standard tier height is 6'' (portion guidelines are finger portions to be 1''x1''x4'', dessert portion 2''x1''x4'')

Size Guide

6 inch round cake = 20 coffee/10 dessert
7 inch round cake = 30 coffee/15 dessert
8 inch round cake = 40 coffee/20 dessert
9 inch round cake = 50 coffee/25 dessert
10 inch round cake = 60 coffee/30 dessert
11 inch round cake= 70 coffee/35 dessert
12 inch round cake = 80 coffee/40 dessert
13 inch round cake= 90 coffee/45 dessert
14 inch round cake = 100 coffee/50 dessert

Square cakes are available and roughly provide almost 1.5 times the amount of cake, therefore cost more than the round variety.

All Mud Flavours can be created using Gluten free flour.

Whilst I’m more than happy to provide recipes free from allergens, they are prepared in a kitchen that does handle gluten, dairy, nuts, eggs etc. The utmost care is taken to ensure safety precautions are taken.

  • Yes, absolutely. I can create the cake in a range of various heights and diameters depending on whether you prefer a tall, slim, towering cake or a wider/flatter cake. If you give me your guest numbers and preferred style, I can offer suggestions on sizing to suit your style.

  • Yes! This options is favourable amongst couples who intend to serve their cake as finger portions on share platters/dessert buffet so that their guests have a variety of options. If you're serving the cake as the actual dessert, You can split a 3 tier cake evenly by choosing one flavour for the base and another for the middle/top tier. This will allow even portioning between flavours for alternate drop.

  • Yes, I can coordinate to meet your florist/stylist at the venue on the day to prepare and arrange the florals on your cake.
